Consultant Required for Financial Literacy Module Development

Development Project Service Centre (DEPROSC-Nepal), established in 1993, a NGO working on various thematic areas across the country invites applications for a short term consultant under the Financial Literacy Component of the Safer Migration (SaMi) Programme Phase III.

Safer Migration (SaMi) is a bilateral program between the  Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland. It is implemented by the Ministry of Labor Employment and Social Security and 156 participating local governments. Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance to the program on behalf of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The program has been partnering with DEPROSCE – Nepal for the Financial Literacy component.

Short term Consultant, having knowledge on financial literacy, Digital literacy and Digital Financial literacy, Curriculum development, BFIs Act, Local government operation Act, Financial Literacy Framework issued by Nepal Rastra Bank, other local government operational mechanism should apply to deliver following deliverables under the following terms and conditions. SaMi has developed a participant’s handbook having 21 sessions (2 hours each) and a handbook for cooperatives which should be considered while preparing the modules. Besides, Financial literacy framework (2022) should be the main guiding document to produce financial literacy modules, however other various financial literacy related books, modules, booklets can also be considered as references.

  • A 90 Minute Module targeted to youth/students (high school level),
  • A One day Module (5/6 hours) for formal and informal groups,
  • A Three Day Module targeted to Cooperative members, clients of Bank and Financial Institutions,

The consultant will also make presentation at the provincial level and national level as appropriate to obtain feedback from the stakeholders and experts, prior finalizing the modules. Moreover, the modules should have its clear methodologies and timeline to adopt while delivering sessions.

Duration: Effective 15 days (Nominal days could be higher)

Deadline
Consultant should submit the final deliverable within 30 days of the signing of contract.

Deliverable
Three sets of draft copies (hard and soft) of financial literacy modules.
