DEPROSC Nepal Appeals to Donate for the cause of Humanitarian Response

DEPROSC Nepal is registered as non-profit making organization and committed to work for social welfare. As guided by organization’s constitution and policies, we are working for humanitarian response for more than a decade now. Our involvement in the purpose started with the partnership with UN WFP since 2003 to implement Food for work, Cash for work in the mid-west of Nepal during the conflict. Since then we got involved in humanitarian response during and after major disasters like decade long people’s war, Koshi flood in 2008, drought and food price hike in 2008/2009, Diarrheal epidemic in Rukum and Jajarkot in 2009, and Gorkha earthquake in 2015 in partnership with different donors, INGOs, and government of Nepal.

Due to the increasing events of humanitarian crises caused by natural as well as human induced disasters, DEPROSC Nepal finds it urgent to keep ourselves responsive for Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarian Response in Nepal as its regular running activity. For which, raising funds aftermath of the disaster would be time consuming and less effective mainly to meet the emergency response thus, we appeal to all national, international and individual donors to contribute for the cause. It has also allocated NRs. 1,000,000 as a standby fund from its’ own source for the program.
The fund will be used only to meet the humanitarian crises in Nepal for providing food, shelter, and other emergency needs for the victims during the crises.
The progress and financial reports of the programs executed will be shared through this site periodically.
