Agreement with OXFAM to work in Transitional Recovery Phase in Kathmandu and Lalitpur Districts

Oxfam and DEPROSC have agreed to extend Emergency Response to Nepal Earthquake Transitional Recovery Phase in Kathmandu for 4 months (1 December 2015 to 31 March 2016). This program has been implemented in 3 municipalities of Kathmandu and 2 municipalities of Lalitpur districts covering 4283 families since 25 May 2015. Now, it will be implemented in 4 municipalities of Kathmandu and 2 municipalities of Lalitpur districts covering 1500 families.

DEPROSC will be involved in livelihood recovery program through activities like rehabilitation and establishment of community infrastructures, promotion of improved kitchen garden, training to farmers moving towards commercial vegetable farming and input support, livestock promotion by supporting chicken and improvement of livestock shed support to community for restoring their employment and enterprises special focus for single women/women headed business, post-harvest handling training of vegetables (tomato) focused on product diversification and orientation on Protection and Safeguarding for gender and protection.
