The Safer Migration Project (SaMi) is a bilateral initiative of the Government of Nepal and Switzerland. The project is implemented through a partnership between the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security (MoLESS), HELVETAS Swiss Interco operation Nepal as a technical assistance provider, the Foreign Employment Board (FEB) and selected local government

 

Project Component:

DEPROSC-Nepal is partnering with SaMi/HELVETAS to provide technical support in financial literacy which aims remittance receiving household member to enable them to take informed decisions on remittance receiving, savings generation, better utilization of remittance and invest for the productive sector for future

 

Project Area:

The financial literacy component is being implemented in 39 districts targeting 15,600 beneficiaries in the year first.

 

Target Group:

The target group of financial literacy component is composed of the families of migrants who receive remittances. The participants are primarily wives, mother or fathers of migrant workers
