The program, supported by the Small Grant Program (SGP) of the Global Environment Facility (UNDP, GEF) is of one-year duration. This program aimed at facilitating GEF/SGP in its initiation of environmental conservation and raising the income level of rural population by promoting and properly handling natural resources. The program had the following approaches: Empowerment of the poor, Participation, Women first, Transparency, Decentralization, Sustainability and Environment Protection.
