| Achievements | School enrolment increased considerably in all programme VDCs. In particular, the enrolment of girls increased significantly in project VDCs. The number of out-of-school and working children decreased substantially. School enrolment campaigns conducted at the beginning of each academic session proved to be effective. Overall awareness and concern regarding child rights, child education, and other child-related issues increased among community members, parents, and local line agencies. The kitchen gardening programme contributed to improved nutrition and served as an alternative source of income for participating families. The livestock exchange programme helped ultra-poor households generate alternative sources of income. |
