Ms. Kaushirupa Nepali, 37, with four family members is a permanent Resident of Kanchan Rural Municpaliy-1, Hatibazar Rupendehi. Her husband has been in Saudi Arabia for the last two years. She used to work as a labor to sustain her daily life.

She was involved in financial literacy class run by Kanchan Rural Municipality last year. She got good knowledge of financial management. She decided to do something for regular earning. She took a loan of Rs. 50,000 from financial institutions and bought a cart for doing Pani Puri and Chatpate business because it could be started with minimum investment. She started recording her income and expenditure in the passbook provided. Her business is progressing very well and she earns about Rs. 20,000 per month. She saves money sent by her husband. She is saving Rs. 5000 per month in a local cooperative.
