Ms. Gamala Pariyar, 31 years, is a permanent resident of Mandandeupur Municipality-7, Pauwa of Kavre. She is one of the active participants in the financial literacy and psychosocial counseling class. She has a son and husband in her family. Now, her husband is in Saudi Arabia for employment.After participating in the FL class, she is able to figure out their financial goals, keep income and expenses records, and find out the ways to save reducing unnecessary expenses. She expanded goat rearing by adding five goats. she also increased a few local chickens. She recently received Rs. 40,000 from selling a goat and spent Rs. 10,000 for her son’s education as well as Rs 10,000 for repaying the loan. The remaining amount is saved into the cooperatives. Recently, she has added two goats on her farm. Ms. Pariyar sells chickens and eggs to manage daily household expenses. She has started saving Rs. 400 in a cooperative. Now, she is aware of productive use of money.
