Technical Assistance Program to Saubhagya Swasthya Surakshya and Gramin Bikas Kendra, Nepal, Dhading
DEPROSC-Nepal and Saubhagya Swasthya Surakshya, and Gramin Bikas Kendra, Dhading, Nepal, a local organization (Saubhagya), have signed an MoU to provide technical assistance to Saubhagya in the areas of localization, disaster risk management, capacity enhancement, women’s empowerment, community development, access to financial services, and local-level research and studies. DEPROSC-Nepal is utilizing its own resources while assisting Saubhagya.
Saubhagya was established in 2074 with the technical support of DEPROSC-Nepal. All members of the organization are female, and it is also led by women. In the past, DEPROSC-Nepal assisted Saubhagya in piloting a community-based micro health insurance program, which was later discontinued following the implementation of the Swasthya Beema Program by the Government.
