Vacancy for Finance Manager
DEPROSC-Nepal, a non-governmental organization established in 1993 and registered at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has worked across 69 districts through 96 projects at different times. The organization has covered diverse thematic areas including agriculture, livestock, horticulture, entrepreneurship development, access to finance, rural finance, migration, WASH, community infrastructure, natural resource management, financial and digital literacy, and disaster risk reduction and humanitarian response. It has promoted two microfinance institutions in Nepal: Deprosc Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. and NADEP Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd.

DEPROSC-Nepal invites applications for the position of Finance Manager for its Central Office in Thapathali, Kathmandu, with field visits as and when required.
Service Type: Contract (with annual renewal)
Key Requirements
- Certified Accountant (CA/ACCA) or MBA/M.Com. with a major in Finance/Accountancy/Taxation
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a Finance Officer, Finance Manager, or Head of Finance
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting, budgeting, and reporting
- Practical knowledge of taxation rules and regulations of Nepal (PAN, Income Tax, VAT, and tax exemption)
- Experience working in development projects (budgeting, planning, and reporting)
- Practical knowledge of NAS for NPOs
Indicative Responsibilities
- Overall financial management of the Centre
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies, rules, and standards
- Preparation and oversight of budgets, financial reports, and audits
- Supporting management in financial planning and decision-making
- Assisting Finance Officers in preparing annual plans, expenditure plans, procurement plans, and asset management
- Participating in various sub-committees as required
- Assisting in the development of guidelines, manuals, and directives to maintain sound record-keeping systems
- Involvement in project preparation teams and preparation of project budgets for national and international bidding
- Coordinating with external auditors and taking overall responsibility for statutory audits, ensuring compliance with NAS for NPOs
- Submitting audit reports to the Inland Revenue Department and obtaining all required clearances
- Performing any other tasks assigned for the growth and development of the organization
