Quick Impact Program (QIP) in DACAW framework
Donor UNICEF Start date January 2005 End date December 2009 Project Districts Rukum, Dolpa, Humla, Jajarkot, Jumla, Kalikot Achievements Altogether 110 different cases relating to domestic violence, divorce, lending/borrowing dispute, property disputes, child marriage and rape, were identified by PLC, 68 cases out of them were solved on the spot locally by PLC through arbitration and 16 cases were forwarded to DRG.
Women were aware of law regarding women right and child right protection who have never heard before.
Support and cooperation were there from male guardians to send their female members to the training and orientation and other paralegal activities.
The representatives from different political parties participated at the orientation and expressed best wishes for implementation of the program successfully.
The Participating women actively involved within the training and interacted themselves since the content was relevant with their practical life.
Due to their presence at community, wasting the time on evil work like playing card, drinking wine and other unnecessary work has been gradually decreased.
