DEPROSC-Nepal is pleased to lead in organizing Global Summit on Local Leadership:     

Showcasing practical approaches for a sustainable and just humanitarian system with the support of CEFORD Uganda. The online summit will be held on July 26 to 27, 2022, 9:00-11:00(Session 1) and 12:00 to 14:00 GMT each day. Registration fees have been waived so there is even more opportunity for interested parties to contribute and attend the Summit.

 

The main objective of the Summit is to facilitate joint learning on localization of humanitarian support from the members of the LHL network and other key stakeholders– governments, private sector, academia, faith-based groups, women’s rights organizations and/or women-led organizations, media, international agencies, donors and allies from different countries at global level– interested in local humanitarian leadership.

 

The 2022 Global Summit on Local Leadership has 4 sub themes:

  1. Transforming the aid system to be more sustainable and just
  2. Innovative financing and emergency response funding models
  3. Women’s leadership in humanitarian actions
  4. Refugee led responses in a world of upheaval

 

Formats accepted:

Abstract, written success stories, oral presentations, video clips, photo essay, role play skits, and other unique ways.
