Development Project Service Centre (DEPROSC – Nepal) conducted the public audit of the FY 2074/75 in its central office Thapathali, Kathmandu on 21st December, 2018. The program was organized to share the accomplishments of the projects implemented in the FY 2074/75, project activities, achievements, challenges and lessons learnt with the various stakeholders including from Social Welfare Council, District Coordination Committee (DCC), local government, project beneficiaries, and others.
The program was chaired by the Executive Director, Mr. Pitambar Prasad Acharya of DEPROSC-Nepal. Director Mr. Kailash Rijal, Finance Department Chief Mr. Bibek Kandel and Sr. Manager Ms. Geeta Dongol made respective presentation followed by plenary discussion which was facilitated by Mr. Krishna Prasad Neupane, Deputy Director of the centre.
The financial aspect of the projects of previous fiscal year, an estimated budget for the running fiscal year and audited financial statement including annexes and schedules for the FY 2074/075 was shared in the forum. In addition, a brief progress report of the FY 2075/76 was shared among the stakeholders.
Mr. Shiva Sundar Raj Baidya, Chief, District Coordination Committee, Kathmandu, Mr. Hira Lal Tandukar, Chief of Social Development Division of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, and representatives from donor agencies, project beneficiaries, media personnel and other stakeholders actively participated in the program. Mr. Baidya from DCC, Kathmandu appreciated efforts that DEPROSC-Nepal is putting to achieve national development goal, for maintaining transparency and bringing local government on board. Programme Advisor Mr. Ganesh KC welcomed participants and Management Advisor, Mr. Beda Prasad Shiwakoti delivered vote of thanks to the delegates.
