DEPROSC-Nepal and Network for Empowered Aid Response (NEAR) have entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The NEAR is a global southern network launched at the side line of World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) on 22nd May, 2016 with the vision of “A world where local communities have the capacity, resources and agency to address the challenges that impact them”. The network has its office in Nairobi, Kenya.
NEAR is engaging local and national civil societies in some countries so that these organizations enhance their capacities to effectively respond to disasters. NEAR has selected five Nepalese civil society organizations including DEPROSC. During the one year of partnership, these organizations will be involved in different capacity development interventions.
