BACKGROUND

The USAID/Nepal-funded KISAN II project is improving food security in twenty Hill and Terai districts in the Western, Mid-Western and Far-Western regions of the country and four districts in the Central region. The purpose of the project is to increase resilience, inclusiveness, and sustainability of income growth in the Feed the Future Zone of Influence. KISAN II will help lead firms, input suppliers, and private sector change agents catalyze agricultural productivity, competitive market systems, a stronger enabling environment, and business and literacy skills for households in two Zones of Influence.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

KISAN II component 4 aims to increase the ability of vulnerable communities so that they better act on business opportunities around them and particularly within selected market systems. This component will enhance the literacy and business skills through several community trainings. The project requires a ‘Recording Studio – firm’ that is able to record audios for selected chapters of KISAN II’s Module 6. Specific responsibilities of the firm will be:

  • Get briefing from KISAN II project,
  • Make preparation for task,
  • Enter into the meeting link with characters for audio shooting,
  • Shoot audios as per the given script and ready characters,
  • Suggest characters for shooting purposes,
  • Set suitable music in the audio,
  • Send raw file of recorded audios to assigned KISAN II staff,
  • Edit the audios as per suggestion,
  • Fit the branding and marking contents,
  • Send the final versions of audios as per the contract with DEPROSC/KISAN II.

 

For now, only 4 audios will be recorded. KISAN II is likely to ask to prepare few more audios in the same approach. Delivery timeline and other terms and conditions will be mentioned in the contract.

Interested firms can apply in response to the advertisement in www.deprosc.org.np, the website of DEPROSC-Nepal (partner NGO of KISAN II)and merojob.com (an online job-portal). The firm will submit an application letter (citing its prior experience and if possible, reference or certification from similar work earlier, proposed rate per audio as an average including taxes, other conditions if any). DEPROSC will shortlist and inform only the shortlisted firms for further selection, which may include a brief practical session – to be conducted, virtually.

At the completion of selection process, a contract will be signed between DEPROSC/KISAN II and Firm, citing timeline for order, advance, delivery and other conditions.
