The USAID/Nepal-funded KISAN II project is improving food security in twenty Hill and Terai districts in the Western, Mid-Western and Far-Western regions of the country and four districts in the Central region. The purpose of the project is to increase resilience, inclusiveness, and sustainability of income growth in the Feed the Future Zone of Influence. KISAN II will help lead firms, input suppliers, and private sector change agents catalyze agricultural productivity, competitive market systems, a stronger enabling environment, and business and literacy skills for households in two Zones of Influence.



KISAN II component 4 aims to increase the ability of vulnerable communities so that they better act on business opportunities around them and particularly within selected market systems. This component will enhance the literacy and business skills through a number of community trainings. The project requires a consultant Artist who is able to create/develop pictures for training modules on: Literacy, Nutrition, Life Skills, Entrepreneurship Skills, Access to Finance and Business Development. Specific responsibilities of the Artist will be:

  • Go through the module sections, where pictures are required,
  • Get a briefing from CDM on the type and size of pictures,
  • Sketch the pictures as instructed in the briefing and specification in the draft modules,
  • Share draft pictures and collect feedback from CDM and other KISAN II staff (as assigned) and re-design or improve,
  • Submit the hard copy and soft copy of final pictures.


Total number of pictures will be 170-200 and delivery timeline will be mentioned in the contract.

Interested candidates can apply in response to the advertisement in www.deprosc.org.np, the website of DEPROSC-Nepal (partner NGO of KISAN II). The applicants will submit an application letter (citing his/her prior experience and if possible reference or certification from similar work earlier, proposed rate per piece as an average, other conditions if any). DEPROSC will inform only the shortlisted candidates for further selection, which will include a brief practical session.

At the completion of selection process, a contract will be signed between DEPROSC/KISAN II and Artist, citing timeline for order, advance, delivery and other conditions.
